Barrington Park District Program Registration Information

Fall 2011

Registration Notice: Register Early!

 

 

All participants should register no later than 48 hours prior to the start date of a program. Any programs that have not met the minimum registration requirement within 48 hours of the start date will be cancelled. Registration confirmations will not be mailed if you are registered in your first choice programs. If you are placed on a waiting list or placed in your second choice program, your payment will be processed and you will be mailed a receipt.

Resident Mail-in/Lottery Until August 8th

Resident/member registration begins upon receipt of your brochure and continues until the program starts or is filled. Registrations will be processed in the order that they are received. Registrations will be entered on a first-come, first-served basis.

Resident/Member Drop-Off Registration Begins August 15th

Resident/member drop-off registration begins April 11th and continues until the programs

begins.  Registrations will be processed in the order that they are received.  Registrations will be entered on a first-come first-served basis.

Open Registration  Monday August 22nd

Open registration/Resident/Non-Residents
Open registration for all classes begins Monday August 22nd

Behavior Policy

No person shall use any abusive,threatening, indecent, profane, or obscene language, or language calculated to occasion a breach of the peace, nor be guilty of any indecent act or behavior in the Park System.

Smoking Policy

There is no smoking allowed inside any park district facilities.

Alcohol Policy

No alcohol is permitted in any Park facility except for the Barrington Room, Jewel Tea Pavilion, and Lodge. Special procedures, application, and fees are required.

Cellular Phone Policy

The Barrington Park District prohibits the use of any device capable of recording, producing, duplicating, reproducing, storing, copying, transmitting or displaying any type District restrooms, locker rooms, or anywhere else where patrons expect privacy.

Photo Policy

On occasion, Park District staff may photograph or videotape participants in Park District programs/classes, or at Park events/facilities. These photos are for Park District use only and may be used in publications, brochures, pamphlets, flyers, or video products. If you do not wish to have your photo taken, please inform the photographer.

Lost and Found

A lost-and-found service is maintained at the Langendorf Park District facility. Items not claimed within 30 days will be donated to a charitable organization.

Dogs Prohibited

Dogs, except those required for the physically impaired, are not allowed in any Park District facility or park.

You can Make a Difference

To provide the improved park services and facilities that you have requested and enjoy, additional funding is always needed. You may make a contribution as a memorial, to recognize a birthday or anniversary, or simply as a way of showing your support for the community. Gifts may also be designated to benefit a specific facility or program. We thank you for your commitment and your generosity.

Americans with Disabilities Act

The Barrington Park District complies with the Americans with Disabilities Act (A.D.A.) prohibiting discrimination on the basis of disability. A.D.A. requires that recreation programs offered be available in the most integrated setting appropriate for each individual. Questions? Call 381-0687.
