K.E.E.P. After School Support Staff 2017/2018 School Year

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Barrington Park District is seeking out qualified, high energetic individuals who love working, playing and interacting with children in our K.E.E.P. After School Program.

EDUCATIONAL AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • 16 years of age or older
  • Previous experience working with children is a plus
  • Must be able to be certified in First Aid, CPR and AED within 2 months of hire

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Supervise participants while protecting their physical, psychological and emotional health
  • Acts as a positive role model while teaching and encouraging healthy leisure lifestyle
  • Maintains and implements safety standards and procedures at all times to ensure a well-rounded program in a safe, positive enrollment
  • Is actively involved in all aspects of the participant's day
  • Will enforce all K.E.E.P.  policies and procedures
  • Will establish and maintain a positive liaison with parents, park staff and the community
  • Other duties as assigned

HOURS (Hiring for 5-day Afternoon shifts):

  • Afternoons: M/Tu/Th/F from 2:00pm - 6:00pm & W from 1:30pm - 6:00pm. BHS Students & Staff please contact keep@barringtonparkdistrict.org regarding your availability.
  • Hiring for the following site locations: Roslyn Road, Grove, Lines, Hough, North Barrington and Countryside Elementary Schools

PAY RANGE:

  • Competitive Wages. Based on experience in related field and/or education
