Learn-to-Skate by Barrington Ice Arena (FALL)

For Ages: 3-12 Years

The Learn to Skate program provides a goal oriented atmosphere that encourages ice skating at all levels.  Equipment needed: hockey skates, helmet (bike helmet OK), elbow pads, knee pads (bike pads/roller blade pads OK to start with) and gloves/mittens.

It’s time to lace up those skates and get on the ice! The Barrington Park District is proud to be teaming up with the NEWLY RENOVATED Barrington Ice Arena to bring you programs to get your kids skating. Owner Rob Hutson, a retired professional hockey player and Barrington resident, has noticed a shortage of ice rinks in the area and knows how far families have to drive to find quality programming. Rob’s experience comes not only from his experience on the ice, but he has four sons that play. He has developed a youth hockey program and has coached at the high school level for six years. By joining forces, we want to offer the best possible programming to get your kids on the ice!.
