For ages: 21 and up
Home to 75 species and more than 750 animals, Shalom Wildlife Zoo, north of Milwaukee, offers a unique twist from a typical zoo experience. Dubbed “America’s largest petting zoo”, you’ll have the chance to pet and feed many different species. After spending time at the zoo, we will head over to Milwaukee’s Pabst Mansion for an afternoon tour before heading home. Lunch is on your own. You can purchase lunch at the zoo or bring your own.
Registration deadline: April 26 (spaces permitting).
Transportation provided via Park District van.
Registrations for this program/event begins December 2 at 9:00am for residents and December 9 at 9:00am for non-residents.
Trip Policies & Cancellations
Suggested Ages for Trips
Adult/Active trips are appropriate for anyone ages 18 and over.
Mature Adult trips are most appropriate for ages 55 and up, but all adults are welcome.
Pick-up/drop-off location is at the Park District Fitness and Recreation Center – lobby unless otherwise noted. Departure times are set and abided by. If changes occur, participants will be notified by phone. Return times may vary depending on traffic or weather conditions; we make every attempt to return by the designated time.
Refunds are only given under the following conditions:
1: The trip is cancelled by the Barrington Park District.
2: The person asking for a refund finds a replacement for the trip.
3: The Park District has a waiting list and is able to sell your ticket.
If we have not met our registration minimum by the deadline date (if one is listed), then the trip will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued. All payments are required in full at time of registration. Please notify the Park District in advance if any special ADA or dietary accommodations are needed for the trip.
