Enjoy a self-pay lunch at one of the many excellent Arlington Heights restaurants near the theater. Then meet at the Metropolis for the performance. When two strangers meet by letter during World War II\, a captivating love story begins. U.S. Army Captain Jack Ludwig writes to Louise Rabiner\, an aspiring actress in New York City\, but the expanding war threatens to separate them permanently. This energetic\, heartwarming comedy is infused with nostalgic nods to the era’s music\, theater and literature. Inspired by the true\, WWII-era courtship of his parents\, Tony Award-winning playwright Ken Ludwig fills Dear Jack\, Dear Louise with romance\, history and charm. Moderate walking is involved with this trip. Registration/cancellation deadline: July 1 (spaces permitting).
