One of Barrington’s favorite pastimes has gotten an upgrade to help take it to the next level. Returning for its 63rd season, this recreational league welcomes players of all skill levels with the goal of making sure every player has fun while learning the game of baseball. We emphasize skill development through playing games. Our coaches take a teaching approach – we’ll stop play to help reinforce the fundamentals.

The first week of Knothole is Spring Training – you’ll meet your coaches (some of whom got started in Knothole and are now being recruited by MLB scouts), learn the basics of the game and the league, participate in fun drills and mini games, and most importantly, have fun! During the season, there will be at least one game per day for each team. There will also be many other fun activities throughout the day that will use and build upon their baseball skills. The final week will conclude with playoff games, pool party and an awards ceremony. You don’t want to miss this week because it all ends with the top teams meeting under the lights for the 63rd Annual Knothole World Series on Friday, 7/28, complete with actual game commentators! Please send a water bottle with your Knotholer every day. (Min/Max: 30/100)

Spring Training – Meet the coaches and other players in the league.

Signing Day – Each player receives an MLB style T-shirt and hat and will sign their team contract.

All-Star Week – All players will be drafted to an All-Star team!

Playoff Week – Pool party, awards ceremony, and World Series under the lights with game commentators, all during the final week of games.

Game Schedule – At least one game is played every day of the week (Monday – Thursday).

That’s Not Enough? – Many other fun activities (kickball, home run derby, create your own baseball card) will be done each day.

Please send a water bottle with your Knotholer each day.
