Day Trip: Chicago Architecture Tour

Experience this captivating Architecture River Tour as it navigates the three branches of the Chicago River, offering stunning vistas of the city’s renowned skyscrapers and landmarks at every twist and turn. Discover over 40 landmarks such as the Tribune Tower, the Wrigley Building and Marina City, while listening to the fascinating tales of the architects and engineers behind these remarkable structures. Following our tour, we will dine at Hackney’s On Lake in Glenview for lunch. Select your choice at the restaurant: Famous Hackneyburger®, Broiled Chicken Breast Sandwich, Chicken Caesar Salad or Reuben Sandwich. The lunch package includes Hackney’s Original French Fried Onions® and beverages. Minimal walking is involved with this trip. Registration/cancellation deadline: September 24 (spaces permitting). Transportation provided via motorcoach bus.

Registration for this program/event begins at 9:00am on 8/8 for residents and 8/14 for non-residents.

Trip Information
Pick-up/drop-off location is at the Park District Fitness and Recreation Center lobby unless otherwise noted. Listed trip times are approximate. A detailed itinerary will be emailed at least 48 hours before the trip. Return times may vary depending on traffic and/or weather conditions; we make every attempt to return by the designated time.

Refunds
Refunds are only given under the following conditions:
  1: The trip is canceled by the Barrington Park District.
  2: The person asking for a refund finds a replacement for the trip.
  3: The Park District has a waiting list and is able to sell your ticket.
  4: If we have not met our registration minimum by the deadline date.

No cancellations/refunds will be accepted after the Registration/cancellation deadline listed for each trip.

All payments are required in full at time of registration. Please notify the Park District in advance if any special ADA or dietary accommodations are needed for the trip.
