Register Early
All participants should register no later than 48 hours prior to the start date of a program. If you are registered in a program or if you are placed on a waiting list, your payment will be processed and you will be e-mailed a receipt.
Proof of Age
Some programs may require proof of age. Birth certificates may be requested.
Class Refunds and Transfers
A 10% refund processing charge per program, per participant, will be assessed. Refund request MUST be in writing using the Refund/Transfer form. The form must be completely filled out, signed and dated. The request for a refund/transfer must be received a minimum of five business days prior to the first day of class. A Refund/Transfer form can be found on our website, or you can pick one up at the F&RC Front Desk. Some programs may qualify for a prorated refund, if due to an injury or illness, accompanied by a doctor’s note. The refund will be based on the number of classes attended and the date the refund request is received. Medical refunds must be requested by the last class date. Enrollments paid by cash, check or credit card will be refunded by check. Refunds will be mailed to participants approximately 2-3 weeks after approval is received. All Preschool, K.E.E.P., Ski Club registration fees and KidCare Punch Cards are NON-REFUNDABLE. Refunds will not be issued for make-up classes you are unable to attend.

Refunds
Refunds are only given under the following conditions:
- The trip is canceled by the Barrington Park District.
- The person asking for a refund finds a replacement for the trip.
- The Park District has a waiting list and is able to sell your ticket.
- If we have not met our registration minimum by the deadline date.
NO CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE REGISTRATION/CANCELLATION DEADLINE FOR EACH TRIP.
All payments are required in full at time of registration. Please notify the Park District in advance if any special ADA or dietary accommodations
are needed for the trip.
Class Cancellations
The Barrington Park District reserves the right to cancel, postpone or combine classes, and to change instructors without notice. Any park program can be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance due to low enrollment if the participant minimums have not been met. If your class is cancelled by the BPD due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund. It is not necessary to fill out a Refund Request Form; all refunds given due to class cancellation will be issued by check and will be mailed to the patron enrolled in the program within 10 business days.

In Case of Oops!
Complete details of program policies, procedures and guidelines are sometimes omitted from the program brochures because of space limitations. Also, errors in days, times, registration requirements, and fees may occur as well. We apologize for any errors that may occur in the brochure. When such errors do occur, we will advise you of the change as quickly as possible. We thank you for your patience and understanding when these situations arise.
When determining the fees for a particular class, you must first determine whether you are “in-district” or “out-of-district.” In-district residents are those who reside within the Barrington Park District boundaries and who pay taxes to the Barrington Park District. All others are out of district. Important: not all Village of Barrington residents are within the Barrington Park District boundaries and therefore require the out-of-district rates. Barrington Park District boundaries are NOT the same as District 200 or the Barrington Area Library.
Please see the neighborhood lists below and check your tax statement to determine your residency status.

Register Early!
Please do not wait until the last minute to register for classes. All classes have a minimum number of participants needed in order for the class to run. Have you registered with us before?
No:
If you have never registered with us before, the front desk staff needs to set up a household account for you.
Please fill out a New Household Form and email it to registration@barringtonparkdistrict.org.
It is VERY IMPORTANT that Household Emails are current and up-to-date. These emails will be used for ALL program/event communications including information, cancellations, rescheduling etc.
All family members (children, grandparents etc.) listed MUST permanently LIVE in the household.
Visiting family members are NOT to be included on this form. They must fill out their own form for their household.
Be sure to include full names, birthdates and gender for EVERY PERSON (even babies) that lives in the household. The front desk will set up your account and notify you that the process is complete and you now can register online for MOST programs/events.
If you are in-district, meaning you pay taxes to the Barrington Park District, you will need to attach a copy of your drivers license or a copy of a utility bill that has your CORRECT AND CURRENT name and address on it along with your New Household Form. If you do not feel comfortable emailing these items, please come to the Fitness and Recreation Center located at 235 Lions Drive and have your account set up in person.
If you are unsure if you are considered in or out-of-district, please call the front desk at (847) 381-0687 to check your address.
If you are registering family members for a program or event that do not reside in your home. A household account must be set up for each address.
YES:
Your username is your household ID number which can be found on any of your past receipts. Your password is the phone number listed as head of household on your account. If you need your username and password, you can call the front desk at (847) 381-0687.
If you have any questions on how to register, please call us at (847) 381-0687 or email us at registration@barringtonparkdistrict.org.
