Please do not wait until the last minute to register for classes. All classes have a minimum number of participants needed in order for the class to run. If registration does NOT meet the minimum by a certain date, the class will be canceled. Register early….. we don’t want anyone to miss out on the fun!
Have you registered with us before?
If you have never registered with us before, the front desk staff needs to set up a household account for you.
Please fill out a registration form and email it to email@example.com. Be sure to include full names, birthdates and gender for EVERY PERSON THAT LIVES IN THE HOUSEHOLD. The front desk will set up your account and notify you that the process is complete and you now can register online for MOST programs/events.
IF YOU ARE IN-DISTRICT meaning you pay taxes to the Barrington Park District, you will need to attach a copy of your drivers license or a copy of a utility bill that has your CORRECT AND CURRENT name and address on it along with your registration form. If you do not feel comfortable emailing these items, please come to the Fitness and Recreation Center located at 235 Lions Drive and have your account set up in person.
If you are unsure if you are considered in or out-of-district, please call the front desk at (847) 381-0687 to check your address.
If you are registering family members for a program or event that do not reside in your home. A household account must be set up for each address.
Your username is your household ID number which can be found on any of your past receipts. Your password is the phone number listed as head of household on your account. If you need your username and password, you can call the front desk at (847) 381-0687.
If you have any questions on how to register, please call us at (847) 381-0687 or email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Need to make a change to your account?
Only the front desk can make changes to your account including adding family members. If you need to update your account, please contact the front desk at email@example.com or (847)381-0687.

Class Refunds and Transfers
A 10% refund processing charge per program, per participant, will be assessed. Refund request MUST be in writing using the Refund/Transfer form. The form must be completely filled out, signed and dated. The request for a refund/transfer must be received a minimum of five business days prior to the first day of class. A Refund/Transfer form can be found on our website, or you can pick one up at the F&RC Front Desk. Some programs may qualify for a prorated refund, if due to an injury or illness, accompanied by a doctor’s note. The refund will be based on the number of classes attended and the date the refund request is received. Enrollments paid by cash, check or credit card will be refunded by check. Refunds will be mailed to participants approximately 2-3 weeks after approval is received. All Preschool, K.E.E.P., Ski Club, registration fees and KidCare Punch Cards are NON-REFUNDABLE. Refunds will not be issued for make-up classes you are unable to attend.
Park District–sponsored trips that require pre-purchase of tickets are refundable only if: 1.) you find your own replacement and notify the Park District at least 48 hours prior to trip; or 2.) we have a waiting list. This does not apply to ski club trips.
The Barrington Park District reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or combine classes, and to change instructors without notice. Any park program can be cancelled up to 24 hours in advance due to low enrollment if the participant minimums have not been met. If your class is cancelled by the BPD due to low enrollment, you will receive a full refund. It is not necessary to fill out a Refund Request Form; all refunds given due to class cancellation will be issued by check and will be mailed to the patron enrolled in the program within 10 business days.
