When was the last time you went to Galena? Join us for a visit to the Galena and US Grant Museum to explore Galena’s history, famous artworks and exhibits on history of mining and steam boating. There are two floors with stairs to access the top floor. We will then enjoy a classic Italian lunch at Vinny Vanucchi’s of penne marinara, baked lasagna and chicken cacciatore accompanied by salad and breadsticks. Now is your time to shop! Explore the entire downtown area, self-guided and visit the street voted one of “America’s Best Main Streets”. With over 125 storefronts, there is so much to do! A bus snack will be provided for the trip home. Extensive walking is involved with this trip. Registration/cancellation deadline: July 1 (spaces permitting). Transportation provided via Park District van to Crystal Lake and motorcoach bus to Galena.

Trip Policies & Cancellations, Pick-up/Drop-off Locations and Times
Pick-up/drop-off location is at the Park District Fitness and Recreation Center lobby unless otherwise noted. We depart promptly at the times listed. If changes occur, participants will be notified by phone or e-mail. Return times may vary depending on traffic and/or weather conditions; we make every attempt to return by the designated time.
Refunds
Refunds are only given under the following conditions:
1: The trip is canceled by the Barrington Park District.
2: The person asking for a refund finds a replacement for the trip.
3: The Park District has a waiting list and is able to sell your ticket.
4: If we have not met our registration minimum by the deadline date.
All payments are required in full at time of registration. Please notify the Park District in advance if any special ADA or dietary accommodations are needed for the trip.
