Day Trip: The Ultimate Laverne & Shirley Tour of Milwaukee (Winter/Spring)

“Schlemiel, Schlimazel!” If you’re a fan of Laverne & Shirley, you don’t want to miss this Milwaukee tour! Visit City Hall, featured in the show’s opening, explore the historic Polish Flats and see the legendary “Shotz” Brewery. There will also be a stop by the Bronze Fonz! Enjoy a tour of Lakefront Brewery with two samples (beer or rootbeer) in a souvenir glass. Then, savor a delicious pizza lunch – just like Laverne’s Pop used to make – complete with salad, garlic bread and soda at a local restaurant known for its thin-crust pizza. Keep the fun going with a game of mini-bowling, suitable for all ages! End the day with a classic frozen custard treat at Milwaukee’s nostalgic Leon’s Drive-In. Transportation via motorcoach bus from McHenry. Extensive walking is involved with this trip. Registration/cancellation deadline April 30 (spaces permitting). Transportation provided via Park District van to McHenry then motorcoach bus to Milwaukee.
Registration for this program/event begins at 9:00am on12/4 for residents and 12/11 for non-residents.

Trip Policies & Cancellations, Pick-up/Drop-off Locations and Times
Pick-up/drop-off location is at the Park District Fitness and Recreation Center lobby unless otherwise noted. We depart promptly at the times listed. If changes occur, participants will be notified by phone or e-mail. Return times may vary depending on traffic and/or weather conditions; we make every attempt to return by the designated time.
Refunds
Refunds are only given under the following conditions:
1: The trip is canceled by the Barrington Park District.
2: The person asking for a refund finds a replacement for the trip.
3: The Park District has a waiting list and is able to sell your ticket.
4: If we have not met our registration minimum by the deadline date.
NO CANCELLATIONS/REFUNDS WILL BE ACCEPTED AFTER THE REGISTRATION/CANCELLATION DEADLINE FOR EACH TRIP.
All payments are required in full at time of registration. Please notify the Park District in advance if any special ADA or dietary accommodations are needed for the trip.
