Day Trip: Irving Berlin’s White Christmas at the Paramount

May your days be merry and bright. Pageantry and spectacle come to life in this iconic holiday production. WWII is over, former GIs Bob and Phil have become a highly popular song and dance team who meet an equally talented up and coming sisters act. The men travel to a quaint ski resort in Vermont to watch sisters Betty and Judy perform. But once there, they realize the mountain resort is owned by their former General, who is about to lose it all. Plans begin to help save the beloved General and his business, which culminates in a show filled with epic dance numbers, spectacular costumes and a finale rendition of “White Christmas” that will make you a believer. This family favorite brings generations together to celebrate the magic of the holidays. Lunch will be on your own and self-pay. Minimal walking involved with this trip. Registration/cancellation deadline: November 14. (spaces permitting).
Registration for this program/event begins at 9:00am on 8/19 for residents and 8/22 for non-residents.
Trip Policies & Cancellations
Suggested Ages for Trips
Adult/Active trips are appropriate for anyone ages 18 and over.
Mature Adult trips are most appropriate for ages 55 and up, but all adults are welcome.
Pick-up/Drop-off Times
Pick-up/drop-off location is at the Park District Fitness and Recreation Center – lobby unless otherwise noted. Departure times are set and abided by. If changes occur, participants will be notified by phone. Return times may vary depending on traffic or weather conditions; we make every attempt to return by the designated time.
Refunds
Refunds are only given under the following conditions:
1: The trip is cancelled by the Barrington Park District.
2: The person asking for a refund finds a replacement for the trip.
3: The Park District has a waiting list and is able to sell your ticket.
If we have not met our registration minimum by the deadline date (if one is listed), then the trip will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued. All payments are required in full at time of registration. Please notify the Park District in advance if any special ADA or dietary accommodations are needed for the trip.
