Day Trip: Field Museum (Fall)

Prepare to be amazed on a journey to the Field Museum! The motor coach will drop you off right at the entrance, setting the stage for your adventure. You can explore various exhibits throughout the museum. Some of the highlights include (though not guaranteed): Inside Ancient Egypt, SUE the T-Rex in the Griffin Halls of Evolving Planet and the Cyrus Tang Hall of China. Additionally, don’t miss the chance to catch one of three 3-D movies that are available (self-pay). For lunch, you can choose to dine at the Explorer Café or The Field Bistro. Lunch will also be self-pay. Snacks will be provided on the bus. Extensive walking is involved with this trip. Registration/cancellation deadline: October 17. (spaces permitting). Transportation provided via Park District van to Cary then motorcoach to Chicago.

Registration for this program/event begins at 9:00am on 8/19 for residents and 8/22 for non-residents.

Trip Information
Pick-up/drop-off location is at the Park District Fitness and Recreation Center lobby unless otherwise noted. Listed trip times are approximate. A detailed itinerary will be emailed at least 48 hours before the trip. Return times may vary depending on traffic and/or weather conditions; we make every attempt to return by the designated time.

Refunds
Refunds are only given under the following conditions:
  1: The trip is canceled by the Barrington Park District.
  2: The person asking for a refund finds a replacement for the trip.
  3: The Park District has a waiting list and is able to sell your ticket.
  4: If we have not met our registration minimum by the deadline date.

No cancellations/refunds will be accepted after the Registration/cancellation deadline listed for each trip.

All payments are required in full at time of registration. Please notify the Park District in advance if any special ADA or dietary accommodations are needed for the trip.
