Anderson Japanese Garden & JMK Nippon

Ranked among the top 10 wonderful Japanese gardens in the world. Anderson Japanese Garden opened in 1978 by John R. Anderson, who was inspired after his travels to Japan and the Portland Japanese Garden. Anderson Japanese Garden features an impeccable design and nice walkaways, along with a variety of fish, minks and ducks. Enjoy a Hibachi style lunch at JMK Nippon where they specialize in authentic Japanese dishes. Lunch includes: steak, chicken, shrimp and fried rice. A variety of soft drinks and tea will be provided. Alcoholic drinks may be purchased on your own. Registration deadline: June 22 (spaces permitting). Transportation provided via Park District van.

Registration for this program/event begins at 9:00am on 4/7 for residents and 4/14 for non-residents.

Trip Policies & Cancellations

Suggested Ages for Trips
Adult/Active trips are appropriate for anyone ages 18 and over.
Mature Adult trips are most appropriate for ages 55 and up, but all adults are welcome.

Pick-up/Drop-off Times
Pick-up/drop-off location is at the Park District Fitness and Recreation Center – lobby unless otherwise noted. Departure times are set and abided by. If changes occur, participants will be notified by phone. Return times may vary depending on traffic or weather conditions; we make every attempt to return by the designated time.

Refunds
Refunds are only given under the following conditions:
1: The trip is cancelled by the Barrington Park District.
2: The person asking for a refund finds a replacement for the trip.
3: The Park District has a waiting list and is able to sell your ticket.
If we have not met our registration minimum by the deadline date (if one is listed), then the trip will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued. All payments are required in full at time of registration. Please notify the Park District in advance if any special ADA or dietary accommodations are needed for the trip.
