Day Trip: Supernatural Exploration

Your ghostly adventure will begin with a family style dinner at Maggiano’s Chicago. Dinner will include: salad, 2 different pastas, 2 entrée selections and dessert! Following dinner we will head to the Congress Hotel where the adventure begins. This tour will view the sites of massive tragedies like the Eastland disaster and the Iroqouis Theater Fire. Additional sites include the bloody Fort Dearborn and St. Valentine’s Day Massacres, the death site of Chicago’s most famous ghost –  Resurrection Mary, the site of the original City Cemetery, the cursed and deadly Hancock Building – origin of Ghostbusters and the infamous Hull House – inspiration for Rosemary’s Baby. You will get a personal introduction to an ever-changing cornucopia of hauntings on this mind-altering tour of Chicago’s true ghost stories. This classic 3-hour tour is by bus and fully narrated, but with numerous stops at some of the most actively haunted outdoor sites in Chicago. Registration deadline: October 4 (spaces permitting). Transportation provided via motor coach bus.

Trip Policies & Cancellations

Suggested Ages for Trips
Adult/Active trips are appropriate for anyone ages 18 and over.
Mature Adult trips are most appropriate for ages 55 and up, but all adults are welcome.

Pick-up/Drop-off Times
Pick-up/drop-off location is at the Park District Fitness and Recreation Center – lobby unless otherwise noted. Departure times are set and abided by. If changes occur, participants will be notified by phone. Return times may vary depending on traffic or weather conditions; we make every attempt to return by the designated time.

Refunds
Refunds are only given under the following conditions:
1: The trip is cancelled by the Barrington Park District.
2: The person asking for a refund finds a replacement for the trip.
3: The Park District has a waiting list and is able to sell your ticket.
If we have not met our registration minimum by the deadline date (if one is listed), then the trip will be cancelled and a full refund will be issued. All payments are required in full at time of registration. Please notify the Park District in advance if any special ADA or dietary accommodations are needed for the trip.
