Enjoy a little slice of “Broadway” right in our own backyard. We will be traveling to Paramount Theaters in Aurora, IL to see Waitress. What is more American than apple pie? A small-town waitress with a dream and the ingredients for success! Sugar, butter and flour. These aren’t the only ingredients Jenna, a waitress and expert pie maker, uses to make her famous pies. Stuck in a small town and a loveless marriage, Jenna unexpectedly becomes pregnant and then finds acceptance and love in the most unexpected place. Full of romance and the joy of an uninhibited fling, Waitress challenges the story of a pregnant woman trapped in a small town between the life she’s living and the life she wants. Based on the 2007 film by the same name, with lyrics and music by Grammy Award winner and Tony Award nominee, Sara Bareilles. In 2016, the Boadway Musical was nominated for four Tony Awards including Best Musical and Best Original Score! Lunch will be on your own and self-pay. Minimal walking is involved with this trip. Registration/cancellation deadline: February 5 (spaces permitting). Transportation provided via Park District van.
Registration for this program/event begins at 9:00am on 12/5 for residents and 12/12 for non-residents.
Trip Information
Pick-up/drop-off location is at the Park District Fitness and Recreation Center lobby unless otherwise noted. Listed trip times are approximate. A detailed itinerary will be emailed at least 48 hours before the trip. Return times may vary depending on traffic and/or weather conditions; we make every attempt to return by the designated time.
Refunds
Refunds are only given under the following conditions:
1: The trip is canceled by the Barrington Park District.
2: The person asking for a refund finds a replacement for the trip.
3: The Park District has a waiting list and is able to sell your ticket.
4: If we have not met our registration minimum by the deadline date.
No cancellations/refunds will be accepted after the Registration/cancellation deadline listed for each trip.
All payments are required in full at time of registration. Please notify the Park District in advance if any special ADA or dietary accommodations are needed for the trip.
