Milwaukee Historic Tour & Lunch

Our step-on guide from Historic Milwaukee will give a highlights tour covering the central business district: Milwaukee Art Museum, City Hall and the new Northwestern Mutual building, along with a number of other significant commercial buildings. Then we travel to the East Side of town to view the residential mansions and modern apartments. Our last stop is in the Historic Third Ward where we will have lunch at the Wicked Hop for taco bar buffet, including a soft drink.

Jelly Belly, Apple Holler and Mars Cheese House

Come with us to tour the Jelly Belly Factory where you will learn how the jelly beans are made, the history of Jelly Belly along with a good sampling of beans. Then, we travel to Apple Holler for lunch, apple picking and shopping. Lunch will be either a chicken or turkey dinner with all the fixings. It will include a drink of soda or tea and of course their famous apple pie with ice cream. After lunch, go apple picking to receive a ¼ bunch of apples and then cruise their shops. Our last stop will be the Mars Cheese House. Come hungry because there is so much to explore and eat!

Shipshewana – Amish Country

We will head over to Shipshewana for a memorable experience visiting the heart of Amish Country. Our escorted tour offers personal details of growing up in such a unique area. The tour begins with 15-minute Amish Buggy ride in downtown Shipshewana. Following the ride, we will visit a buggy shop where we will learn how they make the buggies and the differences between them. We will then stop at a popcorn farm/stand to learn about the farm and get a taste of their very own popcorn. We will also visit the Amish Bakery for shopping
and free samples of their famous donuts. If time allows, we will stop at an authentic Amish furniture store. Our final stop will be at an Amish home where they will prepare a traditional thresher meal for us.

Devil in the White City Tour & Fado Irish Pub

This tour delves into the history, mystery, murder and mayhem of the American serial killer, H.H. Holmes and the World’s Columbia Exposition in Chicago in 1893. During the World’s Fair, Holmes operated the infamous “Murder Castle” and this was the first tour to take you on a journey back in time to not only the places where Holmes sought out and dispatched his victims, but also to take a look at the remnants of the World’s Columbian Exposition and to get an inside look at Chicago in 1893 and what the world saw when it came to the Windy City! After the tour, we will enjoy lunch at Fado Irish Pub.

Madison Eats & Capitol Tour

Madison Eats offers culinary tours while being deeply committed to supporting Madison’s local food economy. Our tour guides will take us to four unique locations in Madison’s historic culinary and entertainment center. We will also tour the rotunda of the Wisconsin State Capitol to view unique artwork, stone work from around the world, hand-carved furniture and exquisite glass mosaics. After the tour, have a sampling of cheese curds, shared pub fair and a 4oz beer sample at Great Dane Pub & Brewing Company.

Driehaus Museum and Eataly Chicago

The Richard H. Driehaus Museum explores the art, architecture and design of the late 19th and early 20th centuries with a focus on the Gilded Age. The museum is located just steps from the Magnificent Mile within the meticulously restored Nickerson Mansion, renowned as Gilded Age Chicago’s “Marble Palace”. It’s outstanding collection of decorative art is a must see. We will take a guided tour through the museum and then travel to Eataly where we will sample the creations of Lidia Bastianich, a critically-acclaimed chef, restaurateur, author, TV personality and Eataly USA partner, so come hungry.
