The ever popular food tour is back for new neighborhoods and new food! The day starts with a trip to Chicago’s vibrant Mexican neighborhood, Pilsen, for the cultural experience and a traditional breakfast sampling. Next, we head to Greektown to get some of the most requested appetizers and shouting out “OPA”! From there we turn our eyes to the Emerald Isle, as we sample traditional Irish pub fare. The day concludes with a treat at an authentic German bakery. Don’t miss this great trip where you will be getting a great history lesson of the different neighborhoods while filling your belly with the great foods from the culture.

The House on the Rock in Spring Green, WI, began in 1945 when a man named Alex Jordan had a towering goal: to build a retreat as awe-inspiring as the view from the rock upon which the House would eventually be built. Since those early days, it has grown far beyond the original house and into an attraction with many buildings, exhibits and collections. Enjoy a leisurely self-guided tour of two sections including the Original House & Infinity Room, Streets of Yesterday, Spirit of Aviation, Carousel Room and so much more. Come join us for a fun historical day on top of the Big Bus of Chicago for a two-hour tour where we will see and hear about the history of places like the Chicago Theatre district, Millennium Park, Maggie Daley Park and Hard Rock Café. Lunch will be on your own. Once done, we will meet at the entrance of The Art Institute of Chicago, which was founded in 1879 and located in Chicago’s Grant Park. It is one of the oldest and largest art museums in the United States! Its collections include Georges Seurat’s A Sunday on La Grande Jatte, Pablo Picasso’s The Old Guitarist, Edward Hopper’s Nighthawks, and Grant Wood’s American Gothic. There are a thousand years of artifacts to see. You will have about three hours to explore this magnificent building.

Join us for a fascinating day out to Joliet. Our first stop will be your choice of 2 hours of gambling at Harrah’s Casino or explore the Joliet Museum which includes an introduction to the many stories of the Joliet area and its people. Then we will visit the Route 66 Diner for our “final meal” of monte cristo sandwich, Route 66 cheeseburger or walleye sandwich
