This tour delves into the history, mystery, murder and mayhem of the American serial killer, H.H. Holmes and the World’s Columbia Exposition in Chicago in 1893. During the World’s Fair, Holmes operated the infamous “Murder Castle” and this was the first tour to take you on a journey back in time to not only the places where Holmes sought out and dispatched his victims, but also to take a look at the remnants of the World’s Columbian Exposition and to get an inside look at Chicago in 1893 and what the world saw when it came to the Windy City! After the tour, we will enjoy lunch at Fado Irish Pub.

The Richard H. Driehaus Museum explores the art, architecture and design of the late 19th and early 20th centuries with a focus on the Gilded Age. The museum is located just steps from the Magnificent Mile within the meticulously restored Nickerson Mansion, renowned as Gilded Age Chicago’s “Marble Palace”. It’s outstanding collection of decorative art is a must see. We will take a guided tour through the museum and then travel to Eataly where we will sample the creations of Lidia Bastianich, a critically-acclaimed chef, restaurateur, author, TV personality and Eataly USA partner, so come hungry.
Wreath Factory & Cedarburg Shopping
Take a trip to the Wreath Factory in Plymouth, Wisconsin. Decorate your very own 24" holiday wreath, which will be neatly wrapped and tagged for transportation home. Then, shop at the unique Christmas store and save 10% on any in-store purchase. Next, enjoy a box lunch as we travel to Cedarburg. Once there, spend free time holiday shopping at the many quaint stores in the historic downtown area. Don’t miss the Cedarburg Settlement and Cedar Creek Winery! For lunch, choose from ham and cheddar sandwich or turkey and provolone sandwich. All box lunches include carrots and ranch, kettle chips, cookie and water.

Enjoy a holiday shopping trip to the Little Traveler in the heart of Geneva, IL. At 2:00pm we will enjoy an English Tea in the Atrium of the Little Traveler with scones and a selection of teas. Following our shopping and tea, we will visit the spectacular holiday light show at Mooseheart in Mooseheart, IL. The light show is a mile and a half of holiday lights that we drive through to help get you in the holiday spirit. Minimal walking.

We will have prizes for the winning team of the night. Each question answered by the group receives points. At the end of the night, the group with the most points receives a prize. We will have snacks and beer/wine for the event.
