Kenosha Museums, Streetcar & Lunch

Who better to tell the stories of the people who were touched by the Civil War or slavery than the individuals themselves? The Civil War Museum focuses on the contributions of the Upper Middle West – Wisconsin, Illinois, Iowa, Indiana, Minnesota, and Michigan. Before heading back to Illinois, trip goers will also have some time to explore on their own and hop aboard an authentic streetcar for a 2-mile scenic tour of the Lake Michigan shoreline, Harbor Park, two historic districts and the downtown business district.
NERF Battle Night

Kids will enjoy a full hour of running around the gym, which will be covered with different elements to hide and blast behind, all while playing a wide variety of challenging NERF Battle games. Participants are able to bring their own NERF blasters from home, but additional equipment will be provided.

Art Institute of Chicago & Big Bus Tour
The Art Institute 111 S Michigan Ave, Chicago, IL, United StatesCome join us for a fun historical day on top of the Big Bus of Chicago for a two-hour tour where we will see and hear about the history of places like the Chicago Theatre district, Millennium Park, Maggie Daley Park and Hard Rock Café. Lunch will be on your own. Once done, we will meet at the entrance of The Art Institute of Chicago, which was founded in 1879 and located in Chicago’s Grant Park. It is one of the oldest and largest art museums in the United States! Its collections include Georges Seurat’s A Sunday on La Grande Jatte, Pablo Picasso’s The Old Guitarist, Edward Hopper’s Nighthawks, and Grant Wood’s American Gothic. There are a thousand years of artifacts to see. You will have about three hours to explore this magnificent building.

Live Harness Racing & Dinner at Hawthorne Racecourse
Built in 1891, Hawthorne Race Course is rich in sports history and the oldest continually run family-owned racetrack in North America. In 2009 the Horseplayers Association of North America introduced a rating system for 65 thoroughbred racetracks in North America.
